Guest Farm Activities

We have a pony ride every day at 10:00AM, weather permitting, and the pony ride is often the highlight of a child’s stay at Pioneer Cabins and Guest Farm. While all the cabins are only a few minutes walk to the pony ride, Wrangler’s Den is the nearest cabin to the pony pasture. In addition to the ponies, we also have a donkey who is a favorite of children and parents alike, as he enjoys lots of attention (petting, brushing, feeding him a carrot, etc.). When he begins to bray, everyone knows Little Jack isn’t getting any attention!

The petting farm is stocked with goats, lambs and geese. The goats and lambs are very friendly and will enjoy some fresh picked grass. The petting farm is available all day during daylight hours. There is a children’s swing set and play area beside the petting farm. While all the cabins are only a few minutes walk to the Petting Farm, the nearest cabin is Bunk House (about a 30 second dash from the cabin).

We have over a mile of hiking trails, gentle to moderate, on our property, primarily through our heavily wooded areas. There are no charges for any of the farm activities, its just part of the value for staying at Pioneer Cabins and Guest Farm. The farm activities are only available to the guests staying at Pioneer Cabins.
