Pioneer Cabins are clean comfortable vacation rentals

All of our cabins have rocking chairs on the front porch, where you can enjoy the spectacular scenery and relax. Folks who come to Townsend are looking for relaxation and to be refreshed, and we try to provide just that.

You'll see your first bear (albeit a wooden bear) when you turn into our private "Pioneer Trail," which has beautiful flowers on both sides. As you relax at your cabin, you will hear the sounds of wildlife in the woods, with squirrels and chipmunks scampering about, the possibility of a gentle rain on a tin roof, and the distant howls of wild animals. These just add to the excitement for young children, or add to the romantic beginnings of a honeymoon couple. You will be pleasantly surprised at acres of graceful, rolling hills, filled with horses and ponies, and the majestic and panoramic mountain views from your deck or porch.

You will become eager to view a sunset or sunrise from your porch rockers or private deck, and you will probably hear the bells from a distant church.

There are many activities to enjoy in Townsend and nearby areas, but when you return to your "mountain" home in the evening, take time to pick your own vegetable from our small garden for your supper, or plan a barbecue on your private deck, or spend a leisurely evening in your private hot tub, gazing up at the stars, or snuggling by a cozy fire in the living room.

Wildlife

There's plenty of wildlife, and if you rise early enough, you may see a flock of Canadian geese land on a neighboring pond in the morning mist. Guests may occasionally get a glimpse of a deer drinking from the pond before rushing back to the cover of the brush.
